Premier League Darts Betting and Odds at NetBet Sport
PDC Premier League Darts has become one of the biggest annual sports competitions in the UK, and it is growing in popularity with each passing year. First held in 2005, when Phil Taylor was at the very peak of his powers, this professional darting spectacle wows fans across Europe between the months of February and May.
Despite being an unranked tournament, it is part of the sport’s ‘Triple Crown’, alongside the PDC World Championship and the PDC World Matchplay.
With the seemingly never-ending growth of darts, partly fuelled by the emergence of Luke Littler, the evolution of Premier League Darts betting has followed suit. From live betting to exciting pre-match bets on 180s, and much more, there is something for everyone, whether you are a darts fanatic or new to the scene.
Here at NetBet, we cover every single game at this fascinating competition, serving up a wide and diverse range of markets which feature only the best Premier League Darts odds. But before you take a look at what we have to offer, get to know more about the exciting world of Premier League Darts betting.
What is the Premier League Darts format?
Premier League Darts is contested between eight players, with the top four in the PDC Order of Merit joined by four ‘wildcard’ picks.
The current format sees these eight players compete in 16 weekly tournaments at venues across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe. Each night is a knockout format featuring quarter-finals, semi-final and a final. Losing semi-finalists pick up two points, the runner-up collects three and the winner is awarded five. All matches at this stage of the competition are best of 11 legs (first to six).
The top four players in the table after these 16 league phase weeks advance to the heralded play-off night, which determines the overall champion.
The play-off night (which is also known as Finals Night) is usually held in London and the games are contested over a longer format. The semi-finals are best of 19 legs, while the grand finale is best of 21 legs.
